Can dogs eat Swordfish?

Swordfish(メカジキ)

Safe to feed

A large white-fleshed fish with vitamin E and potassium.

139 kcal per 100 g

What kind of food is this?

A large white-fleshed fish. Per 100 g: 19.2 g of protein and 7.6 g of fat. Vitamin E is 4.4 mg, especially high even among fish and shellfish. Potassium is 440 mg. Its strength is serving as a white-fish protein source that brings vitamin E along with it.

How to serve

In swordfish, histamine, a cause of food poisoning, can build up when left at room temperature. Once formed, histamine won't go away with grilling or simmering. After buying, do not leave it out — put it in the fridge or freezer right away and use it while fresh. Also, large fish tend to accumulate mercury, so rather than making it a daily staple, use it as part of a rotation.
